Indian And Argentine Cinema Taking Center Stage At Argentina And NFDC Films Festival
The National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) plays a vital role in connecting Indian cinema to the world by organizing various international film festivals every year. At present, NFDC and Argentina consulate Mumbai are co-hosting “Argentina & NFDC film festival” at NIMIC Auditorium in NFDC-FD premises, Pedder Road, Mumbai. The film festival is scheduled for 27th May- 1st June’24, where each day one Argentina film and one Indian film will be screening alternately. Shabana Azmi starring 1989 film “Ek Din Achanak”, Dimple Kapadia starrer “Rudaali” and Smita Patil Starring “Manthan” will be screening in this festival. On the other hand, Argentina films like "Un Lugar En El Mund," "Made in Argentina," and "Casa Fuego" will also be screened on alternate basis. The inauguration of the film festival took place on 27th May at NFDC- Mumbai, which was attended by NFDC General Manager Mr. D Ramakrishnan, Argentina Consul General-Mr. Daniel Quer Confalonieri, renowned actor- writer- producer Vivek Vaswani and actor Tahar Shah Badussha from Heeramandi.

In 2019, NFDC started the 1st Film Museum of India- National Museum of Indian Cinema, which has archives and artifacts from different era’s of Indian cinema. A Bollywood based travel show “Bollylands.com” which is renowned as unique travel show featuring the shooting location across the countries, have covered the “National Museum of Indian Cinema” in its Mumbai season. Team Bollylands.com has also witness the grand inauguration of this "Argentina & NFDC film festival" at NFDC.
